i still believe.
i still believe in fairies, in strange creatures, in invisible people all around me.
i still believe in speaking animals, in everything that normal persons think isn't real.
i still believe in dreams, also the ones that normally cannot be realized.
i still believe in the beautiful things and in beauty that doesn't want something in return.
i still believe in the power of art, because art can say everything and doesn't have to apologize with anyone.
i still believe in hope, and i still believe in destiny.
i still believe that if something must happen, it'll happen in every case.
i still believe in happy moments, that appear seldom.
i still believe in immortality, and i still believe that everyone can be immortal.
i still believe that time will make things right and that i'll be always a perfect creature, as all the others.
believe in everything, because belief is our strenght.
ABOUT ME
Nata a Roma nel 1989 e diplomata nel 2008, ho già iniziato il mio “viaggio” per diventare fotografa professionista.
Scatto fotografie dal 2006.
Le mie recenti esperienze includono:
- Un corso base di due mesi alla Scuola Permanente di Fotografia Graffiti, a Colli Albani, Roma.
- Una mostra personale nel mese di aprile 2009, al Garden Grove Art Gallery Bistrot, Borgo Pio, Roma.
- Alcune delle mie foto sono state scelte da Getty Images (The Image Bank) da aggiungere alla loro raccolta.
- La rivista Psychologies ha pubblicato due delle mie immagini sui numeri di gennaio e maggio 2009.
- Una mia foto è stata scelta da Getty Images per una mostra a Londra (settembre-ottobre 2009).
- Alcune delle mie foto fanno parte di Arcangel Images.
- Nel mese di gennaio 2010, la rivista farmaceutica Essere e Benessere ha pubblicato una mia intervista, con foto su copertina e altre immagini all’interno.
Attualmente sto frequentando un corso serale all’Istituto Superiore di Fotografia e Comunicazione Integrata (isfc), San Lorenzo, Roma.
MOTH ART.
MOTH ART nasce insieme alla mia passione per la fotografia. Il nome MOTH (falena) fa riferimento alle circostanze in cui è nata questa passione.
Vedo la fotografia come un ottimo mezzo per dimostrare la bellezza delle piccole cose (una luce particolare, un fiore nascosto, un’espressione sfuggevole).
Tento di dare alle mie foto un pallore surreale, quasi da sogno, in cui la realtà, che la fotografia riproduce quasi fedelmente, incontra la magia.
Altre volte, con un’immagine, provo a rappresentare un concetto o un’idea, soggettiva oppure oggettiva.
Nella maggior parte dei casi, voglio che le mie foto trasportino il “pubblico” al di là della semplice realtà, che le persone vengano ispirate o almeno colpite emotivamente dalle mie immagini. Per questo ognuna di esse è accompagnata da un titolo, la cui funzione è quella di creare il presupposto per una vera e propria storia, in cui il protagonista è il soggetto della foto.
Utilizzo l’inglese perché, oltre ad essere internazionalmente conosciuta, secondo me è una lingua più semplice e concisa, che permette di esprimere un’idea importante per mezzo di poche efficaci parole.
Tento semplicemente di creare immagini belle, in cui la bellezza possa quasi essere considerata oggettiva.
Tento semplicemente di emozionare chi guarda, e, secondo me, un’immagine è la “poesia” più immediata che ci sia.
ABOUT ME
Born in Rome in 1989 and graduated in 2008, i have already begun my journey of becoming a professional photographer.
I have taken photos since 2006.
My recent experiences include:
- A 2-months basic course at the Permanent School of Photography Graffiti, Colli Albani, Rome.
- A personal exhibition in april 2009, at the Garden Grove Art Gallery Bistrot, Borgo Pio, Rome.
- Some of my photos have been chosen by Getty Images (The Image Bank)
- The italian newspaper Psychologies has published two of my shots in the issues of january and may 2009.
- One of my photos was chosen by Getty for an exhibition in London (september-october 2009).
- Some of my images are in Arcangel Images agency.
- In january 2010, the italian pharmaceutical newspaper Essere e Benessere has published an interview to me, with a photo on the cover and other images inside.
I’m currently attending an evening-course at the Superior Insitute of Photography and Comunication, San Lorenzo, Rome.
MOTH ART.
MOTH ART was born from my passion for photography.
The name MOTH refers to the circumstances in which this passion was born.
I consider photography as a very good way to show the beauty of small things (a particolar light, an hidden flower, an expression of an instant).
I try to give to my photos a surreal pallor, almost as a dream, in which reality, that photography reproduces almost faithfully, meets magic.
Other times, with an image, i try to represent a concept or an idea, subjective or objective.
Most of the times, i want my photos to transport the “public” beyond the simple reality, that people could be inspired or at least emotionally hit by my images.
For this reason, each one of them is accompanied by a title, that has the function to create the requirements for a real story, in which the protagonist is the subject of the photo.
I use english language because, besides of being internationally known, is for me a more simple and concise language, that permits to express an important idea with few and efficient words.
I simply try to create beautiful images, in which beauty could be considered an objective thing.
I simply try to excite the ones who see my photos and, in my opinion, an image is the more immediate “poetry” in the world.
